Have You Ever Been Called for a Political Poll?
I know that I havent. Maybe it’s because I only own a cell phone and don’t have a land line. Believe it or not, this is one of the few occasions where I almost wouldnt mind being called. Let my voice be heard! Instead, I see how everyone else’s opinions on Barack Obama, John McCain, Sarah Palin and others are swaying it seems with every new commercial or accusation. Do these people really become persuaded based on a few things they see on TV? Or read in the paper? I don’t know anyone who has gotten polled. Or owns a Nielson box for that matter. Where do these TV ratings come from? OK, maybe Im off subject now…If you do, let me know, and I’ll suggest a few shows to you!
I was just wondering. I think Im a typical American, but never get asked anything? Hmmmm, conspiracy maybe?
That is a really interesting question! It would be great to know more, especially this year. For me this is a really difficult election year and I know a lot of people that feel that way. Hmmmmm…..!
I just received a call half an hour ago. I think it is a land line thing. It was the Demo’s who were calling, asking how likely I am to vote (100%) who I’d vote for President (Obama), and Smith vs Merkely (Merk).
I have received several calls on my land line in the past. This time I received a call personally from democratic to provide support for Obama. It was great because it wasn’t a pre-programed call or computer but a real live human. I really loved it.
Actually I am on and off a member of the Nielsen family but because I’m a
single person and the only viewer in the house I’ve never been a long term
member. I have also been surveyed regarding my radio listening.
As far as political polls I’m rarely home to answer my home phone so I get a
lot of hang ups so I can’t answer that one.
