5.6.08 How do YOU take a great picture?

I’m still learning, although I think Ive gotten better at it. I was looking through my picture albums from a few years ago and my pictures absolutely stunk! Not to say they are leaps and bounds better today, but I think I have a better eye for content than before.

It’s difficult at times to find things to photograph, although there are things all around us everyday to snap. I even saw one photographer take a stunning photo of a book on a rug! It was just his angle! I invite you to post one of your better photos here , whether it’s a nice scene or a great picture of your kid, and share it with another person. Here’s one of my recent ones.     Dionne you never cease to amaze me, you are definitely the idea man! How fun is this!? As you know my husband John and I are having so much fun with photograghy that we have actually started a business, not that we are getting rich but we have been able to continue building our “toy” collection. There always seems to be a new lense or something out there with our name on it!! Our photos can be seen at http://www.jcmimagery.com. The site is in need of updating as we have thousands of shots that are not yet posted. John and I would love to have the opportunity to go explore and shoot with you, Brenda and Olivia some day, let us know when you are available. By the way, I have been in Oregon all my life and I think you have seen some places that I haven’t. Thank you for the fun opportunity to share and to see what other people have to share!

    I love the picture of the lighthouse. It definitely looks professional. If we ever need pictures done for an event, you’ll have to come up. You are really gifted!

    The “don’t be critical” statement really needs to apply to my stuff so be easy on me if I take any shots. If I go para-sailing I’ll try to snap a few from way up………that should be a site to see.
